Enterprise Cloud Computing: The Cloud Adoption Acceleration

Cloud computing adoption is inevitable for enterprises, for both current and future workloads. According to an article from Forbes, reporting on IDG Enterprise Cloud Computing Study 2014, 69 percent of enterprises have at least one application or a portion of its computing infrastructure in the cloud. According to IDG enterprises currently using cloud computing have increased their investment by 19 percent since 2012.

Finding the right service provider is half the battle in the cloud adoption process. An enterprise should choose a provider that can offer the following:

  • Onboarding services to get up and running faster
  • Ability to select flexible service tiers that meet specific needs
  • Global network, performance and security access
  • Speed, reliability and competitive edge

An enterprise should ultimately gain the confidence it needs to continue operating successfully from the cloud.
