Enterprises See Value in Cloud

“It’s all about value.”

Siki Giunta, SVP for cloud in Verizon Enterprise Solutions, says that the industry and media frenzy over “price wars” for cloud services is really just “some providers being provocative.” The real war for cloud, according to Giunta, is over who is able to provide value to enterprises as they increasingly migrate business-critical workloads to the cloud.

Enterprises understand that in many ways you get what you pay for and if these large companies and organizations are going to put these types of workloads into the cloud it’s important to make sure the infrastructure, services, network, security, etc. fit their specific needs. Price matters, but enterprises will invest in cloud solutions that drive value back to their business – as measured by business agility, competitive advantage and increased productivity.
