European Commission To Continue Review Of MC WorldCom Merger With Sprint

Clinton, Miss. and Kansas City, Mo. - February 21, 2000 - MCI
WorldCom today received notice that the European Commission will
continue its review of the pending MCI WorldCom merger with Sprint.
The companies remain confident that the Commission will approve the
transaction and expect it to be completed on schedule in the second
half of 2000.

MCI WorldCom and Sprint will continue to cooperate fully and look
forward to continuing their work with the Commission demonstrating the
competitive benefits that the merger will deliver in Europe, the U.S.
and around the world.

On October 5, 1999 MCI WorldCom and Sprint announced a merger
