Hitachi Data Systems Makes Cloud Data Access Easy, Secure and Flexible

The rapid growth of structured and unstructured enterprise data is causing storage sprawl and management headaches for IT.  In the past, IT has responded by acquiring more capacity and expanding backup infrastructure.  However, these measures don’t permanently solve the problem; they just push it to the next budget cycle.  Furthermore, this approach only exacerbates the access, visibility and control challenges already faced with application silos across the IT landscape.

A more elegant solution exists – tiering and bursting data to the cloud.

Users of the Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) now can easily create hybrid cloud storage with HCP adaptive cloud tiering for Verizon Cloud. The HCP, now available through the Verizon Cloud Marketplace, delivers low costs, yet because of the tiering, provides both performance and access when needed.

Launched last week, the Verizon Cloud Marketplace is a dynamic online storefront that provides software-based cloud resources that are certified to operate in the Verizon Cloud.
