At this year's Internet Industry Awards Ceremony held by UK ISPA, UUNET was judged the Best European ISP. The citation recognises "the ISP that has offered the most comprehensive services to the European consumer or business user." The four main criteria for the award are flexibilty, user friendly range of service, forward thinking and a flexible approach.
The occasion was the second ISP industry awards - the Oscars of Britain's ISP services.
At the awards UUNET sponsored the award for the Most Innovative New ISP Product and Richard Heyes, UUNET's country director for the UK, presented this to Online Call Manager.
