Latino Professionals Mark End of Hispanic Heritage Month in Philadelphia
To mark the end of Hispanic Heritage Month, Verizon hosted on Oct. 15 a special networking event with Al Dia, Philadelphia’s largest Hispanic newspaper, for members of Greater Philadelphia’s Latino Professional Network. The event, held on the 50th floor of Three Logan Square in Center City, offered up stunning panoramic views of the City of Brotherly Love.

Addressing nearly 100 of the area’s up and coming Latino professionals, Tim Smith, Verizon Region President for Pennsylvania/Delaware , and Oscar Madrid, director of multicultural marketing at Verizon, discussed Verizon’s all-fiber optic network in Philadelphia and how Verizon’s FiOS services are providing a platform for innovation for the city’s growing Hispanic community.
“We provide solutions for our customers using the power of broadband to stay connected, entertained and informed,” said Smith. “Our fiber network is a platform where innovation can happen, and as technology continues to evolve, FiOS is well-positioned to meet our customers’ future needs.”
The event also gave Verizon an opportunity to spotlight the diverse programming FiOS TV offers customers. FiOS TV offers the most Spanish-language channels, including the most in HD, and La Conexion, Verizon’s most popular package of Spanish-language programming, features more than 190 channels.
