MCI Canada Provides Managed Hosting of MCAP's Online Financial Services
TORONTO, 21 March, 2007 - MCI Canada will help MCAP, Canada's largest independent mortgage and equipment-financing lender, provide online applications to its customers and partners under an agreement announced today. MCI Canada, part of Verizon Business, will host and manage MCAP's Web-based applications in MCI Canada's secure data centres.
MCAP administers more than CDN$30 billion in mortgage and leasing assets annually. Operating in four key lines of business -- residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, construction loans and equipment financing -- MCAP is expanding its network infrastructure and adding new applications to meet increased business demands. Its Web portal is a key element of this strategy, giving more than 100 institutional investors, over 130,000 borrowers and 700 employees across 15 sites in Canada access to MCAP's financial products
To help support this projected growth, the company decided to outsource the hosting and management of its ebusiness infrastructure.
