MCI Systemhouse Sister Company Signs $30 Million Outsourcing Contract With MT&T

Four-Year Contract Renewal To Provide More Processing
Capacity

ATLANTA, December 7, 1998 --

MCI Systemhouse sister company SHL Systemhouse (Systemhouse)
announced today a $30 million (CDN) outsourcing contract with
long-time customer Maritime Telegraph and Telephone Co. (MT&T)
of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The four-and-a-half year agreement renews
an outsourcing contract originally signed between Systemhouse and
MT&T in 1992.

Under terms of the agreement, Systemhouse will operate the
provincial telephone company's mainframe computer systems that
handle, among other things, transaction processing for long
distance billing and tracking. In addition, Systemhouse will
provide approximately 30 percent more processing capacity to
support the growing requirements of MT&T. Services will be
delivered from Systemhouse's Halifax outsourcing center.
