MCI WorldCom Wins Internet World's Best Of Show Award For Peermaker Service

MCI WorldCom's new PeerMaker service today was recognized for
"being without peer" by grabbing Internet World's Best
of Show award (Internet Services category) for "greatly improving
Internet access and e-commerce capabilities." This unique
and innovative Web-based tool improves overall performance of the
Internet by enabling Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to dynamically
manage their peering relationships at the Internet's major
network access points.
PeerMaker enables Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) customers to
provision Permanent Virtual Circuits (PVCs) in near real time at MCI
WorldCom's Metropolitan Area Exchange (MAE) sites in Vienna, VA;
Dallas, TX; and San Jose, CA. PeerMaker is the first of several
innovative virtual data and Internet-related services MCI WorldCom
will be introducing in the coming months.
