Cable Choice Comes to Culpeper, Va., as Verizon Launches FiOS TV in Town

The future of television is arriving for consumers and businesses in parts of Culpeper as Verizon introduces FiOS TV over its revolutionary fiber-optic network here.

Verizon FiOS TV is available now to homes in parts of Cardinal View, Elizabeth Crossings, High Point, Magnolia Green, Meadows Edge, Mountain Brook Estates, Mulberry Court Condos, Mulberry Greens and Pelham's Reach.  FiOS TV is available to businesses in the following areas: Dominion Square, Kohl's shopping plaza (Buffalo Wild Wings), Southgate Shopping Center, Southridge Parkway (from Madison Road to the DMV office) and Sunset Lane Suites

Verizon delivers FiOS TV over the nation's largest digital, all-fiber network, offering more than 600 total channels - including 125 high-definition (HD) channels in Culpeper, more HD channels than the city's current cable provider, Comcast.

"Cable can't come close to matching the HD channels or the innovative features and enhancements FiOS TV customers enjoy," said Mary Ellen Payne, senior vice president of marketing for Verizon's Potomac region.  "We've harnessed the vast capacity of our advanced fiber-optic network to deliver a revolutionary, new entertainment experience."

Culpeper residents who are FiOS TV-eligible now have the option to bundle FiOS TV service, FiOS Internet Service and the Verizon Freedom Essentials unlimited calling plan, for as little as $109.99 a month.  Customers who sign up for a qualifying FiOS service bundle before Dec. 19 will receive a $150 Visa prepaid card, a 24-month price guarantee and a free premium installation.

Town residents can check online at www.verizon.com/fios for more information or to request that Verizon contact them when FiOS services become available.  Customers also can call their local Verizon sales office or 888-GET FiOS (888-438-3467).
