Military and Moms, two of our favorite things.

By: Verizon Up To Speed

May is for Mother’s Day and Military Appreciation Month, two things we’re talking about today.

This Sunday is Mother’s Day, and all month long it's Military Appreciation Month. One way we’re celebrating is spotlighting two V Teamers, Barbie Richardson and Nikki Kongsamut. Barbie recently joined Verizon as a Local Manager in the Wireline Field Operations group through the Hiring Our Heroes program that Verizon participates in. Nikki, part of the Consumer Marketing team, is a military spouse currently based in Arizona.

And, speaking of Mother’s Day, did you know it’s one of the busiest Sundays of the year on the Verizon wireless Network in terms of call volume? This is your reminder to call your mom this weekend!

Plus new Fios customers are invited to take a Test Drive. It’s a digital tool that will help pick out the plan that’s best for them, based on their viewing habits. With Test Drive, customers get over 425 channels, including premium channels, for 60 days, and after 30 days, will get a recommendation of the best plan for them, based on what they tend to watch the most.

And, Fios customers with family and friends in India can stay up-to-date on the latest news in the aftermath of Cyclone Fani with free access to Zee News through Friday, July 5.
