UUNET HELPS SMALLER ENTERPRISES EXPLOIT THE INTERNET FOR E-COMMERCE BENEFITS AT WINDOWS 99

Olympia, Stand 136
16th 18th March 1999 UUNET, MCI WorldCom's Internet services division and a global leader in the Internet market, is demonstrating its solutions for small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) at this year's Windows 99 exhibition on stand 136. These include highly resilient, high capacity Internet access for business professionals including ISDN and leased line connectivity, as well as third party products and services from UUNET partners.

In its fourth year at the show, UUNET is using its stand to show how SMEs can take advantage of the Internet for business communications and other applications including electronic commerce for enhancing supply and distribution processes. Pandi, a member of UUNET's Partner Delivered Solutions programme, will be previewing its new product aimed specifically at the SME market.

UUNET will be demonstrating how ISDN-based Internet solutions can help smaller enterprises exploit e-commerce via less costly, faster, more resilient digital links. Calls are based on local call rates, while the speed at which it moves data keeps online time to a minimum, reducing connection times.

As a need for higher capacity Internet access grows, UUNET also offers a broad range of leased line options from 64kbps to 45Mbps. UUNET will be offering a special 25 percent discount on leased line connectivity to visitors to the show who sign up for a service by the end of March 1999.

Joe Clift, UK marketing director, UUNET said: "For smaller enterprises to benefit from electronic commerce, reliable and low cost Internet access is key. We and our partners have developed connectivity solutions that are specifically designed to help enterprises of any size to reap the benefits of e-commerce".
