UUNET wins communications week international award for best contribution to the ISP industry

Cannes, France, 29th October 1998. UUNET, an MCI WorldCom company and a global leader in Internet communications solutions, has won an award for best contribution to the ISP industry. The award, sponsored by Newbridge Networks Ltd and hosted by Communications Week International and Total Telecom in conjunction with IIR, demonstrates support for UUNET's strategy of providing the best possible service to its customers in both the corporate retail and wholesale markets.

All visitors to the Communications Week International, Total Telecom, IIR and Newbridge Networks web sites were asked to vote for the awards.
