Verizon Enhances Hospitality Communications Express Capabilities to Improve Guest Experience

Verizon Enterprise Solutions is unveiling new capabilities to its Hospitality Communications Express hosted PBX solution to help hotel operators provide the seamless connected experience today’s guests expect and improve IT management. In addition to streamlined voice management, the solution now features greater bundling options, including a tiered Wi-Fi capability, high-speed Internet connectivity choices and a call center platform.

“Hosted solutions are a robust and versatile technology for hotels seeking new and innovative ways to improve the guest experience and streamline operations,” said Michele Dupré, group vice president, retail and hospitality, Verizon Enterprise Solutions. “With Verizon Hospitality Communications Express, hotel management can leverage productive collaboration tools and focus more on ensuring the best guest experience, which in turn will increase brand loyalty.”

Designed specifically to meet the unique demands of the hotel industry, Verizon Hospitality Communications Express offers hotel operators a fully managed and hosted enterprise voice solution for simple replacement of aging PBX systems, reduced need for onsite hardware and IT support and seamless integration into property management systems. The new capabilities, announced at HITEC 2015 in Austin, offer hotel staff a one-stop consolidated approach to managing essential IT requirements.

Enhancements include:

Tiered Guest Wi-Fi Options: Travelers now carry multiple mobile devices and expect strong and reliable network connectivity throughout a hotel property that allow for video streaming and access to enterprise-grade applications and virtual private networks. Verizon’s new guest Wi-Fi capability is a versatile web-based management platform that allows flexible guest payment options, bandwidth and device limits, advanced reporting and easy integration into existing property management systems for scaling and customization. Password-protected and secure, the solution also features user-friendly interfaces for guest convenience.

Upgraded Wireless Local Area Network (LAN) Package: Enabling high-speed Internet connectivity requires advanced network infrastructure which many hotels lack. Verizon’s new Wireless LAN capability gives hotels the option to upgrade infrastructure to the latest access points, including 802.11 ac, which offers higher bandwidth speed and enhanced security options. A single and reliable wireless LAN infrastructure gives hoteliers the ability to support essential business applications, such as point-of-sale terminals, IP-based video on demand, VOIP, digital signage and wireless kiosks.

Hotel Call Center Platform: Because the guest experience begins at the first point of contact — which is typically reservations — hotels need to offer convenient and timely access to information and agents. Verizon Hospitality Communication Express now features a call center application option with intelligent routing and distribution, web-based agent and supervisor access and comprehensive reporting capabilities for better handling of guest inquiries from multiple channels.
