Clients and Partners
- Allstate, a leading insurance company, collaborated with Verizon Enterprise Solutions for services related to its National Catastrophe Team emergency response initiative, which assists customers during times of natural disasters or other crises that impact communities. Specifically, Allstate upgraded the technology solutions in its Catastrophe Response Vehicles and Mobile Claims Centers to ensure high-quality and secure communications during deployments to affected areas.
- Inovalon is a leading technology company that combines advanced cloud-based data analytics and data-driven intervention platforms to achieve meaningful insight and impact in clinical and quality outcomes, utilization, and financial performance across the healthcare. Verizon Enterprise Solutions is helping Inovalon build out its network to meet its expansion needs for new locations and support its expanding technology needs.
- Verizon Enterprise client, JetBlue, is now trialing Crewbot, a robotic telepresence solution created by VGo in collaboration with the Verizon Innovation Program. Powered by Verizon’s 4GLTE Network, Crewbot can answer JetBlue passengers’ questions about where to pick up tickets, drop off luggage, boarding times and much more. Behind the scenes, this rolling telepresence solution is intended to help JetBlue improve the customer experience, quickly “staff up” during high traffic periods and open up new opportunities for employees with disabilities. The trial program follows the signing of a five-year agreement between JetBlue and Verizon to expand their strategic relationship.
- Lear Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of automotive seating and electrical systems, renewed an agreement with Verizon Enterprise Solutions for end-to-end management of its global network infrastructure, which continues to increase operational efficiencies and ease of commerce. Lear Corporation leverages Verizon’s leading network infrastructure and expertise to connect its 132,000 employees in 34 countries with clients, partners and suppliers.
- Moda Health is a multifaceted organization that provides medical, dental, pharmacy, vision and professional liability insurance products, along with a variety of business services including benefits administration. Verizon Enterprise Solutions is providing Moda Health with Virtual Colocation services which is enabling Moda Health to expand its workforce operations effectively and efficiently.
- Verizon Enterprise Solutions was a partner to National DCP, LLC, the sourcing and distribution entity for Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, in a number of ways, including: helping National DCP connect 7,000 Dunkin’ Donut franchises, managing their legacy systems in a Verizon data center and supporting their new enterprise-side IT solution on Verizon Cloud infrastructure.
- Verizon Enterprise Solutions will lend its technology expertise to the Entertainment Technology Center at the University of Southern California (ETC@USC) through a seat on ETC@USC’s executive board. Verizon’s global cloud, IP and wireless networks, managed security services, end-to-end digital content solutions and technology-related professional services are used by media and entertainment companies to create, transport, manage and deliver digital content around the world, on any platform, anytime. ETC@USC is a nonprofit, member-funded entertainment technology think tank and research center, affiliated with the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
Network and Connectivity
- Verizon Enterprise Solutions unveiled new capabilities to its Hospitality Communications Express hosted PBX solution to help hotel operators provide the seamless connected experience today’s guests expect and improve IT management. In addition to streamlined voice management, the solution features greater bundling options, including a tiered Wi-Fi capability, high-speed Internet connectivity choices and a call center platform.
- Verizon announced its Software Defined Networking (SDN) strategy — laying the groundwork for new, innovative services and applications that will directly benefit enterprises. With SDN, enterprises can realize more sophistication in the network without adding complexity. SDN enables enterprises to keep up with the changing nature of their businesses, enabling them to be more responsive to users, customers and market opportunities.
Security
- Verizon Enterprise Solutions released its 2015 Data Breach Investigations Report highlighting the top threats affecting different industries, based on an analysis of nearly 80,000 security incidents, including more than 2,100 confirmed breaches. This year’s report included a first-time overview of mobile security, Internet of Things technologies and the financial impact of a breach. This data reaffirms the need for organizations to make security a high priority when rolling out next-generation intelligent devices.
Cloud
- Verizon Enterprise Solutions added CoreSite to the company’s Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI) service ecosystem that enables enterprises to rapidly scale and use multiple clouds and, in some cases, colocation services. With connections to six cloud providers (Amazon, Google, HP, Microsoft, Salesforce and Verizon) and now three data center providers (Equinix, Verizon and CoreSite), Verizon’s footprint is one of the largest of its kind. The company today offers this service in the U.S., Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
- Verizon Enterprise Solutions’ Enterprise Cloud: Federal Edition can now be purchased by U.S. federal government agencies and departments on the Networx Universal and Enterprise and the Washington Interagency Telecommunications System 3 (WITS 3) contract vehicles. Verizon’s FedRAMP-certified cloud-computing platform for the public sector is already available on the GSA IT Schedule 70, and can be procured through blanket-purchase agreements managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and U.S. Department of the Interior.
- Verizon Enterprise Solutions launched a new option for U.S. federal government departments and agencies to purchase cloud services as they need them through a pay-as-you-go model. Instance-based virtual machines with Enterprise Cloud: Federal Edition provides IT administrators greater flexibility and control to support applications with usage that ebbs and flows over time. They dial up the exact resources they need, when the need them and pay only for what they use.
Channel
- Verizon Enterprise Solutions expanded its Verizon Partner Program (VPP) into the public sector. The expansion helps enable public sector solution providers to offer Verizon branded, enterprise-class services to government agencies across the federal, state and local and education markets.
Awards and Recognition
- Verizon Enterprise Solutions’ Rapid Delivery (VRD) initiative was honored with the Agile Business & IT Award at the TM Forum Excellence Awards. Verizon’s platform fundamentally transforms the way the company does business to better serve its enterprise clients through a more efficient system for developing and deploying products and better managing its business processes.
- Verizon’s Janet Schijns, vice president of product and channel marketing, and Wendy Petty, executive director global channel sales, were both named to CRN’s 2015 Women of the Channel and recognized as part of this year’s Power 100. The annual list honors female executives in the Channel whose vision and leadership have made an impact on the technology industry.
