Verizon Executive to Participate in TechNet Land Forces-Southwest 2012 Panel on March 29

TUCSON, Ariz. – Janet Schijns, vice president of public sector solutions for Verizon Enterprise Solutions, will join military information technology leaders on a panel at the TechNet Land Forces-Southwest 2012 conference on Thursday (March 29) in Tucson. The panel – “Mobile Communication on the Battlefield” – will explore how sophisticated mobile communications technologies are driving meaningful change in the way military personnel access, use and exchange information.

BACKGROUND: Verizon Federal and its Terremark IT services subsidiary will exhibit at TechNet Land Forces-Southwest 2012 (March 27-29) in booth #604. Experts will demonstrate the latest advances in cloud computing, secure data networking, and 4G LTE mobility solutions for encryption, surveillance and asset tracking. In addition, experts will be on hand to discuss findings from the just-released “Verizon 2012 Data Breach Investigations Report.”

The TechNet Land Forces conference series provides a forum for the Army and Marine Corps, as well as the Department of Defense, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard security forces, to discuss issues and share ideas.
