Retailers and solutions providers from around the world will begin converging on New York City this weekend for the National Retail Federation’s annual ‘Big Show’ which runs January 13-16 at the Javits Center. Verizon is excited to be returning to NRF and will join with a strong ecosystem of partners to showcase the latest business solutions for retailers that have quickly become “must-haves” versus “nice to haves” in today’s fiercely competitive marketplace where the customer is in command like never before.
Optimizing the mobile experience for customers; empowering a mobile workforce; omni-channel strategies; business continuity; security; leveraging the cloud; gathering and analyzing customer data; and, employing Machine-to-Machine technology for practices such as cashless vending and digital signage have all become table stakes in the race to innovate and stand out in a crowded field.
Leveraging an unparalleled set of network, mobility, cloud and security assets, Verizon offers a wide array of business solutions and also works with partners to deliver value to our many retail customers around the globe. The Verizon booth (#2339 on Level 3) will feature a host of demonstrations delivered by IT and retail experts which have been designed to educate and inspire new ideas for improving the customer experience and streamlining business operations. Following are some examples of what’s in store:
“Big Data” Analytics:
Precision Market Insights from Verizon Wireless is an analytics tool for retailers that helps gain new insights into what drives consumer behavior with outcomes including enhanced customer satisfaction, the selection of ideal retail locations, and an increase in the time and money customers spend in stores.
Mobile Customer Engagement:
BlazeLoop® Mobile Customer Engagement solution by Benbria® empowers retailers to increase in-store sales conversion rates by capturing and acting on customer input at the decisive moment in the shopping experience. Hosted by Verizon Terremark, BlazeLoop helps retailers understand why people don't buy and then alerts staff on-the-spot to act on the shopper’s needs while they are in the store. Using a variety of mobile devices, Benbria representatives will demonstrate how retailers can use BlazeLoop to instantly connect one-to-one with customers and turn the in-store mobile customer experience into a true competitive edge.
Omni-Channel Retail in the Cloud for “Mobile Retail Everywhere”:
VisionMAX will showcase its SYNNEX STORESolv Expert Sales Agent using their Customer Conversation Client (C3). The multi-media C3 platform will allow SYNNEX’s VAR partners and suppliers to walk their retail clients through a turnkey: network, hardware, software, financing and services store-configuration quote generation. This real-world app will showcase how C3 can take a complex sales process and deliver a quote in minutes when in the field using a Verizon 4G tablet. VisionMAX will also demo its omni-channel retail mobile POS (Point-of-Sale) solution on the same tablet with a wireless mobile printer and credit card swipe entry, all operating on the Verizon 4G LTE network.
Mobility Solutions for Retailers:
Verizon’s Private Applications Store for Business is a carrier-grade, hosted cloud service for mobile application management. This private storefront service enables retailers to securely distribute their latest mobile applications and content to both employees and business partners via a custom- branded, on-device application storefront.
Verizon Terremark Global Cloud Services and Security Solutions:
Our Cloud pod will feature informative overviews to educate and drive awareness of Verizon Terremark’s Cloud, IT and Security services portfolio. Verizon Terremark will showcase the capabilities of its Managed Hosting, Infrastructure as a Service (Cloud) and Managed Security Services with live demonstrations.
Business Continuity Preparedness:
Business continuity solutions are more important than ever in today’s challenging environment. Any downtime, even for short durations, has an adverse effect on the bottom line. Verizon’s Private IP (PIP) Satellite is an ideal remedy for providing broadband business continuity and other communications’ services virtually anywhere in the U.S. using reliable and affordable satellite connectivity.
