Verizon talks Cloud Ecosystems at Cloud Expo Europe 2014

The emergence of the cloud computing ecosystem and the role of resellers within the cloud environment were hot topics of conversation at the recent Cloud Expo Europe 2014, held in London, UK.

Verizon executives Joe Crawford, Executive Director of Cloud and IT Services, and Abrar Khan
Consulting Partner, Global Consulting Services, joined industry experts from across Europe to debate the evolution of the cloud landscape and future developments.

Verizon recently unveiled its own dynamic ecosystem of cloud services, where key enterprise software and cloud leaders - including CloudBees, Pivotal, NetApp, Hitachi Data Systems and Oracle – will be delivering services over Verizon’s advanced Cloud Compute and Cloud Storage platform. The aim is to provide organizations with the choice and flexibility they need to create the cloud solution that best fits their needs.

By leveraging the availability, performance and security built into the Verizon Cloud platform, these companies can develop services to enterprise standards, but still agile enough to meet the requirements of small and medium business as well as individual software developers.

The Verizon Cloud beta was released in the fourth quarter of 2013. Companies interested in using Verizon Cloud can sign up through the Verizon Enterprise Solutions website.
