Verizon’s Private IP networking solution will be a part of Microsoft’s new Skype for Business platform, Microsoft announced yesterday at Enterprise Connect. Microsoft is teaming with major network providers, like Verizon, to give its customers the option of using private networks to manage media quality end-to-end.
The service will be a part of Microsoft’s Azure ExpressRoute Service, which connects to Verizon’s Private IP service through the Secure Cloud Interconnect platform. Verizon’s Private IP service is available in more than 150 countries and territories and offers enterprise clients the following benefits, including stringent service level agreements, including latency and packet-loss; easy scalability; varying classes of service; strong security (encryption) and exceptional service.
Microsoft and Verizon clients can sign up to be a part of the Skype for Business Cloud Voice Preview, available in the U.S. this summer, or connect with Verizon as a Microsoft provider to plan your deployment of Skype for Business.
