Winter Storm Juno Update 1/28/15

Winter Storm Juno passed over the East Coast of the U.S. this week and left much of the greater Boston area and points north covered in several feet of snow, but spared most of the New York Metropolitan area and the Mid-Atlantic region. Throughout the storm, Verizon enterprise customers were able to depend on our reliable wireless and wireline networks and there were no significant issues that impacted system performance.

Because of our commitment to our customers, we prepared in advance for this blizzard by putting redundancies in place in the event the storm knocked out power. We tested and fueled all back-up batteries and generators at our key network facilities so that our enterprise, public sector, public safety and government agency customers could continue to operate — even if the power went out for an extended period of time. During the storm, our operations teams closely monitored the storm’s impact and were ready to deploy.

While the storm might be gone, the clean-up is just beginning. Medium business and enterprise customers with concerns should contact Verizon through regular points of contact, customer service centers or through the Enterprise Center.

Enterprise customers interested in how Verizon can help with business continuity planning, including how to proactively protect business reputation and process, maintain business operations and viability and control costs impacts and reduce risk, can visit the Business Continuity section of Verizon Enterprise Solutions’ website.
