WorldCom Customers to Earn Miles on Korean Air

International Airline Partnership Turns Frequent Calling into
Frequent Flying

ARLINGTON, Va./ Los Angeles, Calif., July 6, 2000 -WorldCom and
Korean Air announced today that Korean Air SKYPASS members now have new
ways to earn miles without flying. As a result of this marketing
partnership, both U.S. and non-U.S. residents who use WorldCom's
consumer products and services can earn SKYPASS Miles on Korean Air for
something they do everyday - communicate.

Effective immediately, Korean Air SKYPASS members are eligible to
earn five miles for every dollar spent on WorldCom's consumer
products and services. Details include:

  • Residents of the U.S. are eligible to receive SKYPASS miles for
MCI WorldCom traditional long-distance services and the MCI WorldCom
    Calling Card.
  • Non-U.S. residents are eligible to receive SKYPASS miles for the
MCI WorldCom Calling Card with WorldPhone service.
  • Customers may earn up to 5,000 bonus miles when they sign-up for
MCI WorldCom long-distance. Additional bonuses are available to those
    who sign up on-line.
  • WorldCom makes tracking SKYPASS miles easy for consumers by
automatically posting miles to the customer's SKYPASS account,
eliminating the hassle of redeeming points or mailing in
    statements.

"Korean Air is a valuable new member of our growing roster of
airline partnerships," said Michael Sauer, vice president of
partner marketing at WorldCom. "This partnership program rewards
members of the SKYPASS program in two ways: by delivering advanced
communication products and services - like global calling cards, and by
offering the ability to earn SKYPASS miles for WorldCom services
offered. By using WorldCom, Korean Air's SKYPASS members easily
accumulate miles in more ways than ever before."

Customers can enroll by calling 1-888-846-7021 (US) or 712-943-6539
(overseas collect).

"We are very excited to establish a partnership with WorldCom
that allows us to continue adding value to our SKYPASS frequent flyer
program," said K.S. Kim, General Manager of Passenger Marketing
for the Americas. "Korean Air is enhancing the value of being a
SKYPASS member to include a generous sign-up bonus for using WorldCom,
in addition to five miles for each dollar spent on residential calls.
Plus, SKYPASS members will enjoy additional mileage-building
opportunities."

Korean Air flies to more than 75 destinations worldwide including:
Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok, China, Vietnam, Canada, South
America, Europe, Russia and the United States.
