WorldCom Offers Assistance to Disaster Relief

WASHINGTON, DC, September 13, -- In an effort to aid those
impacted by the events of September 11th, WorldCom is making resources,
technology and other support available for disaster workers, government
agencies and victims in the New York City and Washington DC areas.

WorldCom is assisting the American Red Cross through donations of
office space, telephones, and local and long distance service.
Additionally, WorldCom employees are volunteering to assist the Red
Cross.

In an effort to assist the disaster workers and government agencies,
WorldCom has donated long distance service, two-way pagers and
telecommunication network switches to maintain communications in New
York City.

WorldCom is also offering office space, and data, Internet and local
and long distance services to impacted businesses in New York. Those
