Meet the coach who wouldn't be here.
We used the Super Bowl to give all our thanks to first responders.
On Super Bowl Sunday, Verizon unveiled a new commercial - the culmination of a two-week campaign - “The Team That Wouldn’t Be Here.”
The campaign focuses on 12 NFL stars who wouldn't be here if not for the heroic efforts of first responders. The ad that debuted on Sunday focused on Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn.
#AllOurThanks
Throughout the campaign and through February 8, we’re encouraging everyone to visit AllOurThanks.com to see the individual stories of these players and coach, and share their own message of thanks to first responders.
To show our continued support for first responders, we’re partnering with First Responders Outreach, an organization dedicated to providing grants for emergency relief, training, and essential equipment to ensure First Responders perform to the best of their abilities.
For every social share of the campaign that includes #AllOurThanks, Verizon will donate $1 to the First Responders Outreach, up to $1.5 million.
A documentary focuses on first responders.
Following the interviews conducted for the campaign, we had so much rich content on first responders that it inspired the Marketing team to work with director Peter Berg (who directed “Friday Night Lights”, as well as our two campaign spots) to produce a 30-minute documentary.
The documentary focuses on the backstory of the first responders featured in the campaign. If you missed the screening, you can check out the replay here, or on CBS Sports Monday, February 4 at 9pm or Fios or Yahoo Sports beginning February 7 through the end of the month.
