Erin and Ibby break down social responsibility (literally!).

There were some big announcements this week: We introduced a new Purpose and our three pillars of social responsibility: Digital Inclusion, Climate Protection, and Human Prosperity.

At Verizon, we can make a real difference in the world, and it starts by tapping into the skills and talents of our V Teamers. We’ve set an ambitious goal of 2.5M volunteer hours across the three pillars by 2025.

To achieve that, we’ve partnered with non-profits around the world to offer employees hundreds of curated volunteer opportunities through our new platform. These range from the virtual,  like visually assisting the blind through a phone app, to in-person events, like joining an eWaste drive.
