Disney+ is Google’s top search of 2019.

As 2019 comes to a close, Google released its most popular searches of the year, with Disney+ coming in at the top of the list. If you consider Disney+ has only been available since November, that’s a pretty impressive stat. Disney’s new streaming service launched last month, much to the joy of movie and television fans around the world who have been able to stream hours of beloved classics and watch incredible new original content as well. Star Wars’ new space western series, The Mandalorian, has received universal praise from fans and critics, and one of its smallest and cutest stars, Baby Yoda, also made it on Google’s top search list of the year. Facebook apps were the most downloaded in 2019.

A recent year-end report on app trends in 2019 but Facebook Messenger and Facebook as the most downloaded apps of the year. Coming in third place for the year was WhatsApp Messenger, and then hot on its heels was TikTok, the social media app that sparked dance trends and viral sensations around the world. The list of most popular gaming apps saw a lot of newcomers this year, with seven out of the ten most popular games being completely new to the download charts.
