Battery optimization helps conserve battery power on your Kyocera device and is turned on by default.

  • Android devices with the adaptive / optimization feature can enhance battery life by placing apps in Doze mode or App Standby.
  • The optimization setting is enabled by default. Disabling optimization may impact the device's battery life.
  • Optimization may cause certain apps, such as Voicemail, My Verizon, and Gmail, to stop functioning

Adaptive Battery - Android 11.x and Higher

  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Settings
    Battery
    .
  2. Tap
    Adaptive Battery
    .
  3. Tap the
    Adaptive Battery switch
    on or off.

    Apps Tap the Apps Icon
    Settings Tap Settings
    Battery

  2. Tap the
    Menu icon Tap the Menu
    (upper-right).
  3. Tap
    Battery optimization

    Apps/services unable to be optimized appear grayed out.
  4. Tap the "Not optimized"

  5. Tap
    All apps
    .
  6. Tap the appropriate app, tap one of the following then tap
    Done
    :
    • Optimize
    • Don't optimize
  • Doze Mode:
    • starts when the device is stationary and not charging and the screen is off.
    • prevents the device from syncing and accessing the network, Wi-Fi from scanning, etc.
    • allows SMS, MMS, phone calls, alarms, and Amber Alerts to still function.
    • stops when the device is moved, the screen turns on, or the alarm clock sounds/vibrates.
    • isn't affected by notifications.
  • App Standby:
    • conserves battery power by preventing apps from accessing networks, syncing, etc. when not in use or not generating any user-visible notification.
    • stops when the device becomes active or is plugged in.
