LG G6 - Manage RTT Settings

Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) feature on your LG G6.
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written, without waiting or the need for an additional device.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon
    Phone icon (lower-left).
    If unavailable, scroll to display all apps then tap
    Phone
    .
  2. Tap the
    Menu icon
    Menu icon(upper right) then navigate:
    Call settings
    Additional settings
    .
  3. Tap
    Real Time Text (RTT) keyboard
    to turn on On switch icon or off Off switch icon .
    When RTT is enabled on both devices no audio is heard on the call. If you aren't hearing audio make sure RTT is turned off.
    You won't be able to make video calls or merge calls while RTT is on.
  4. Tap the
    Back icon
    Back icon (upper-left) several times to return to the calling screen.
  1. With RTT enabled, tap the
    Phone icon
    Phone Icon.
    If unavailable, scroll to display all apps.
    When enabled, the RTT phone icon appears in the lower-left of the 'Dial' screen.
    If prompted, tap
    Yes, show RTT keyboard

  2. Once the call connects and the RTT keyboard displays, start typing your message.

    If prompted, from the 'Cannot change to video call' window, tap
    OK
