Verizon Jetpack® MiFi® 8800L - Restore Settings to Factory Defaults

Here's how to reset your MiFi 8800L if it won't connect, crashes/resets, freezes or runs slowly.
Restore Settings to Factory Defaults only if absolutely necessary as it removes all modified settings including Network Name (SSID), Wi-Fi/Admin Password, etc.
  1. From the Home screen, tap
    Menu
    (lower-left).
    If necessary, press the
    Power button
    (top-right edge) to turn on the display.
  2. Tap
    Settings
    .
  3. Tap
    Factory Reset
    .
  4. Tap
    Factory Reset
    again.
  5. To continue, review the disclaimer then tap
    Confirm
    .
    Allow several minutes for the reset process to complete.
    After restoring to factory defaults, ensure Power Management Settings are set to the preferred options.
  6. If the steps above don't work, try one of the following:
    • Reset via the button method
    • Reset via the admin site

  1. You can also perform a factory reset by removing the battery cover then pressing the reset button (using a paperclip or similar tool) for 10 seconds or until 'MiFi resetting' appears on the display.
    The Reset button is located down inside the hole marked RESET.

  3. To continue, review the info then click
