Turning data on your Galaxy Watch5 / Galaxy Watch5 Pro provides access to online services over the cellular network, while turning it off will impact that experience unless connected to Wi-Fi.
From your Android™ smartphone, ensure your Galaxy Watch5 / Galaxy Watch5 Pro software is up to date as the steps below apply to the most recent version.
  1. From the watch screen, open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Mobile networks
  3. Do any of the following:
    • Turn Data On / Off
      1. Tap the
        Mobile data switch
         to turn on or off.
        Mobile network must be set to 'Always on' for this setting to be accessible.
    • Allow / Deny Data Roaming
      Depending on your plan, enabling data roaming may cause roaming charges (e.g., when traveling internationally).
      1. Select one of the following:
        • Auto
        • Always on
        • Always off
      2. Tap
        Data roaming
         to turn on of off.
      3. If prompted, review the disclaimer then tap the
        Checkmark icon
         to confirm.
