TCL 50 LE - Manage RTT Settings

Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) functionality on your TCL 50 LE.
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written, without waiting or the need for an additional device.

  1. Open the
    Phone app
     Phone icon (lower-left).
  2. Navigate:
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Settings
    Accessibility
    .
  3. Tap
    Real Time Text Visibility
    .
  4. Tap
    RTT Visibility
     then select from one of the following options:
    • When Placing Calls
    • Only During Calls
  5. After choosing the appropriate setting, tap the
    back arrow icon
     Back arrow icon (upper-left) several times to return to the calling screen.
  1. If 'When Placing Calls' was selected under the RTT visibility setting, open the
    Phone app
     Phone icon then make a phone call.
    Once the call connects, RTT displays.

  1. If 'Only During Calls' was selected under the 'RTT visibility' setting, while on a call, tap

    Tap More then Show RTT keyboard
  1. While on a call, tap the
    End icon
     to end the call.
