My Verizon app - Activate / Download eSIM

Here's how to activate your BYOD device on an existing line of service via eSIM using the My Verizon app.
Ensure your My Verizon app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.

  1. From the device you want to activate, open the
    My Verizon app
     then sign in.
  2. To continue, read the Terms and Conditions then tap
    Accept terms
    .
  3. Confirm the model of your device then tap
    Continue
    .

  4. Select
    Activate on an existing line
     then tap
    Continue
    .
    Select Activate on existing Line then tap Continue
  5. Tap
    Select
     next to the eligible line you want to transfer.
    Tap Select on the line to active your device
  6. Select a number to receive the one-time authorization (OTA) code then tap
    Send Code
    .
    Select the number to receive the one-time authorization code
  7. Enter the OTA code received by text then tap
    Continue
    .
    Enter the authorization code then tap Continue
  8. Review the order then tap
    Confirm and activate
    .

  9. Follow the prompts on your screen to activate your new esIM.
  10. If using an Android™ or Pixel device, once the eSIM download and install completes, tap
    Add
     to turn on the eSIM.

     then sign in.
  2. From the Devices section tap
    All devices
    , tap the appropriate mobile number then tap
    Manage device
    .
  3. From the Tools & Applications section, tap
    Change or replace device on this line
    .
    Select device to change or replace
  4. Review the 'On device activation' info then tap
    Continue

  5. Select the device you want to activate then tap
    Continue

    Confirm device make and model
  6. Tap
    Use my device's eSIM
     then tap
    Continue
    .
    Tap use my device's eSIM
  7. Select a number to receive the one-time authorization (OTA) code then tap
    Send Code

    Select the number to receive the one-time authorization code
  8. Enter the OTA code received by text then tap
    Continue
    .
    Enter the authorization code then tap Continue
  9. From the 'Protect your device ...' screen, select an option (Add or No thanks).

    Confirm and activate

  11. Follow the prompts on your screen to activate your new esIM.
  12. If using an Android™ or Pixel device, once the eSIM download and install completes, tap

     to turn on the eSIM.

  5. From the 'Are you physically logged into this device right now?' screen,  tap Yes or No.
    If you're using an Android™ device and select 'No', you must open the My Verizon app on the device you want to activate and sign into your account.  Refer to the BYOD section of this article for more info.
