Orbic JOY 2 - Activate / Set Up Device

These steps guide you through setting up and customizing your JOY 2 for everyday use.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating your new device.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. Ensure a 5G SIM card is inserted before powering on your Orbic® JOY 2.
    To avoid potential activation / service issues, don't insert a 4G SIM card.
    5G devices purchased from Verizon include a pre-installed 5G SIM card.
  2. If powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
    on the right side of the device until it vibrates and Orbic appears then release.
  3. From the 'Hi there' screen, select the appropriate language then tap
    Start
    .
  4. From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tap
    Next
    .
    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the on-screen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for more info).
    If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.
  5. From the 'Set Up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network, enter the password then tap

    to add a Wi-Fi network after setup is complete.
  6. From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, tap
    Next
    to continue.

  7. From the 'Google Sign in' screen, sign in to your Google account then tap

    Signing in to Google allows you to access Gmail and your Google apps.
  8. Review the Google Terms of Service, Google Play Terms of Service, and Google Privacy Policy then tap

  9. From the 'Google services' screen, select the desired options to turn on or off then tap

  10. From the 'Set a PIN' screen, enter a PIN code then tap
