Happy November! It's a month full of fall festivities, football, Thanksgiving...and mustaches. If you've started seeing photos on Facebook and Instagram of your guy friends showing off the beginning stages of a 'stache, that's because they're participating in Movember.

Not familiar with Movember? From the website: "As an official global charity, Movember’s vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health. During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of mustaches on men's faces around the world. Through the power of the Mo, vital funds and awareness are raised to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges."

We wanted to have some fun with Movember participants in the Midwest. Dr. Brian Stork (a Michigan physician who practices in Muskegon and Grand Haven), Bryan Willmert (a Michigan dad and self-professed geek) and Chris Diaz from Q Country 103.1-FM in Louisville, KY have graciously agreed to capture their mustache progression via smartphones and share the photos with us throughout November (disclosure - we loaned a Droid Ultra to Bryan and Samsung Galaxy Note II to Chris to capture their photos. Dr. Stork is already a Verizon customer with an iPhone).

Here are their first submissions:

A little more about our Movember guys:

Dr. Brian Stork is a urologist specializing in diseases of the kidney, bladder, prostate and male reproductive system. This is the second year he has taken part in Movember, and he will be joining a colleague's team at Toronto East General Hospital. Donate to his Movember campaign.

Bryan Willmert is a husband, dad, geek, lover of innovation, sports fan and a dabbler. The reason for his delightful upper lip hair is two fold. The first is a personal connection. Two friends of his, both under 30, fought and beat testicular cancer. With more opportunity, there might be a better way to attack the disease. The second reason is to join his fellow agency folks, in a challenge with other agencies, to bring awareness and raise funds to better men’s health. This is Bryan's second year being involved in Movember. Last year he wasn’t part of a team, but this year he's glad to be with others raising funds. Donate to Bryan's Movember campaign.

You can catch Chris Diaz Wednesday mornings acting goofy on Q103.1. Born and raised in the frozen tundra of Northeast Ohio, Chris moved to Louisville in the summer of 2010. In no time at all he found a cozy spot in the Highlands to call home and fell in love with all things Louisville (Go Cards!). Chris encourages all dudes to donate to Movember or start their own fundraising initiative.

Our Mo Bros will be back next week to show off their 'stache progression!
