Verizon FiOS TV Adds Leading Chinese Channel, Sino TV, to Growing Asian Content Offering

NEW YORK - Verizon and Sino Television Inc., a privately held Chinese television company, announced a multiyear agreement on Tuesday (April 28) to bring three Chinese-language channels to Verizon's FiOS TV service, which is delivered over the nation's most advanced fiber-optic network directly to customers' homes and businesses.  This week, Verizon will launch the first of these channels - Sino TV - a 24-hour Chinese-language channel.

"FiOS TV is the ultimate home-entertainment experience, and we continue to enhance the service with exciting, new international programming," said Terry Denson, vice president - FiOS TV content and programming.  "Sino Television will make a great addition for our growing number of Chinese-American subscribers, bringing the best in Chinese programming to customers' TV screens, with razor-sharp picture-and-sound quality that only FiOS delivers."
