Tweet a Selfie Inside the New Kentucky Smart Store For a Chance to Win a Droid Turbo

To celebrate the opening of the first Smart Store in Kentucky, Verizon is hosting a sweepstakes for area residents who want to check out the latest in interactive retail design. Residents can enter to win a Droid Turbo smartphone or one of four other prizes: a Fitbit Flex Wireless Activity + Sleep Wristband, a Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker, a Belkin WeMo Insight Switch, or an iPlanet Selfie Stick.

Kentucky residents can visit the new store, located at 4800 Outer Loop in Louisville, KY, starting May 15. Between May 15 and May 30, visitors who take a selfie in the store and share it on Twitter with the hashtag #KYSmartStoreSweeps have the chance to win one of the five prizes. The five winners will be selected in five random drawings on June 1.

Selfies can be taken in any of the lifestyle zones inside the store. The first Louisville Smart Store includes the following zones:

• Get Fit, which focuses on health and fitness devices, such as fitness tracker watches and wristbands and smart sports equipment.
• Amplify It, which focuses on music and smart audio, including headphones and speakers.
• Have Fun, a zone for gamers with drones, gaming accessories and interactive toys.
• Home and On The Go, designed for remote home monitoring and energy management products.
• Anywhere Business, which focuses on products for the mobile professional and entrepreneur.
• Keep Going, featuring cameras and chargers.

In order to enter the sweepstakes, the tweet must be public so we can send the winners a direct message. The winners must reply within one day to claim their prizes. If a response is not received within 24 hours, an alternate winner will be determined. Also, more than one tweet entry per person is permissible.

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ENTRANT NEED NOT BE PRESENT TO WIN.

The Verizon Wireless #KYSmartStoreSweeps Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on (May 15, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) and ends on May 30, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. EDT (the “Sweepstakes Period”).

1. HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Sweepstakes, entrants must do the following:

Visit the store – To participate in the Sweepstakes, entrants must visit the Verizon Smart Store located at 4800 Outer Loop, Louisville, KY 40219, take a self-portrait photograph (“Selfie”) inside the store and upload the Selfie to Twitter (a Tweet) with the hashtag #KYSmartStoreSweeps (“Hashtag”). To upload a photo from your wireless device, message and data charges may apply. To enter for free, upload the photo from a computer.

To be eligible, the Tweet must be public (to enable direct message winner notification). More than one Tweet entry per person is permissible.

2. Tweet Submission Requirements:

Tweet submissions shall not:

• Exceed 140 characters;
• Contain material which is (or promoting activities which are) sexually explicit, obscene, pornographic, violent, self- mutilation, discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g. underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc), offensive, threatening, profane, or harassing;
• Contain content which would be derogatory and/or insulting of any other Tweets, Verizon, Verizon Wireless and/or its or their users or affiliates, or any Verizon or Verizon Wireless products or services;
• Contain content which refers to and/or is complimentary of any competitors of Verizon Wireless and/or any parent and/or affiliate of Verizon Wireless or its affiliates, or which is complimentary of and/or refers to any product competitive with any product of Verizon Wireless or any parent or affiliate of Verizon Wireless;
• Include personally identifiable information of any person other than entrant. Should the entrant include personally identifiable information about him/herself in his/her entry, entrant acknowledges and agrees that such information will be disclosed publicly and entrant is solely responsible for any consequences thereof; and
• Contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, including copyright infringement.

By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants consent to any use of the picture as deemed appropriate by Sponsor, including the posting of the picture on the Verizon Insider Website. All entries become the sole property of Verizon Wireless (“Sponsor”), and receipt of such entries will not be acknowledged. Any individual who attempts or otherwise encourages, directly or indirectly, the entry of multiple accounts or false contact information under multiple identities or accounts, by wireless phone, or uses any device or artifice to enter or encourage, directly or indirectly, multiple or false entries, as determined by the Sponsor, will be disqualified. Lost, illegible, or incomplete entries will be deemed ineligible and disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right to reject any Tweets submitted in connection with the Sweepstakes for any reason, and any Tweets so rejected will not be entered in the Sweepstakes.

In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same online entry account, you will be required to provide the name of the authorized subscriber of the online entry account at the time of entry and that person will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. In such case, online entry information will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the telephone number/email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to a telephone number/email address by a telephone company, wireless service provider, Internet access provider, Internet service provider or other organization (e.g. business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses, telephone numbers or wireless phone numbers for the telephone exchange associated with the submitted telephone number/email address or the domain associated with the submitted telephone, as applicable. Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates are not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, or damaged entries or for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the sender, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to enter the Sweepstakes or identify the entrant submitting the Tweet, or by any human error that may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes.

If for any reason (including infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond reasonable control of Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes), the Sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as described in these Official Rules, Sponsor shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Sweepstakes, and select the prize winners from entries received prior to action taken, or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to prosecute any fraudulent entries to the fullest extent of the law.

3. Selection of Winner: Five (5) prize winners will be selected in five (5) random drawings conducted by Sponsor on June 1, 2015.

The drawing will include all entries received by the end of the Sweepstakes Period. The potential winners will be contacted via a direct message on Twitter, and must reply to the message within one (1) day. If the required response to such message is not received within 24 hours after the message was sent, Sponsor will have the right in its sole discretion to disqualify the potential winner without further notice, in which event an alternate potential winner will be determined, time permitting. The decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. The prize will be awarded to the entrants whose Twitter accounts were used to enter the Sweepstakes. Winners will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Release prior to the winner’s receipt of the prize or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. In the event that an alternate winner is not eligible or fails to accept the prize, the Sponsor may use or award the prize in any manner it deems fit.

4. Prizes: There are five (5) total prizes that will be awarded at random. One (1) prize will be offered to each randomly selected winner. The prizes consist of the following:

The aggregate ARV of all prizes offered in the Sweepstakes is $939.95. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

Prize Restrictions: Limit one prize per person. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes are non-transferable, non-assignable, and not redeemable for cash, except at Sweepstakes Entities’ sole discretion. Sweepstakes Entities, in their discretion, may substitute a prize (or prize component) of equal or greater value for any reason. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any costs or services that may be required to use the prize, unless specifically included in the prize, including, without limitation, wireless services, transportation, meals, snacks, or beverages, etc. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. Sweepstakes Entities (as defined in Section 8 below) will not replace any lost or stolen prize.

5. Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Kentucky who are 18 years or older. Void outside the U.S., in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. Employees of Sponsor, its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, authorized agents and retailers and their respective employees, sales representatives, distributors, advertising agencies, and the immediate family of each, and all individuals (including, but not limited to, consultants, independent contractors, so-called “temporary employees,” former employees and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for such entities, are not eligible to enter or win. “Immediate families” include spouses, grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren, whether by marriage, past marriages, remarriage, adoption, cohabitation, or other family extension. Non-eligibility will result in disqualification.

Entrants who do not comply with these Official Rules or attempt to interfere with this Sweepstakes in any way shall be disqualified. The use of automated entry devices or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the Sweepstakes is prohibited. The Sweepstakes shall be construed only according to U.S laws. This Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the state of Georgia without regard to its conflict of laws provision. Each entrant authorizes the Sponsor, and any entities affiliated or in privity with the Sponsor, to utilize, for eternity and in any manner the Sponsor sees fit, and to make derivative works from such materials. Each entrant agrees that the results and proceeds of such use shall become the property of Sponsor and shall be freely assignable by Sponsor, and that Sponsor and its assignees and licensees shall have no obligations whatsoever to entrant.
