Verizon celebrated its countdown to Super Bowl XLVI on January 18 with Indianapolis Colts player Anthony Castonzo at the Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center at Crooked Creek. Verizon presented the organization with a $1,000 grant at its Community Day event, which will be used to support services offered to families on the northwest side of the city. The center, founded in 1984 and located at 71st Street and Michigan Road, provides a variety of services – food pantry, employment placement, after-school programs and social activities for seniors.
