Volunteers Come Together to Plant 27 Trees at Newark, New Jersey High School

On a beautiful Saturday morning, volunteers came together at Weequahic and Chancellor Ave schools in Newark, New Jersey to plant 27 trees as part of an overall effort to give back to the communiy. The NFL along with the New York/New Jersey Super Bowl XLVIII host committee, The New Jersey Tree Foundation and Verizon have partnered together to plant trees around the NJ/NY area. The entire Weequahic Indians Football team along with the Indians Track and Field team with other students worked together to plant the trees along the sidewalk bordering the school on Chancellor Ave.
