Is my phone bill going to increase because of the merger?
The merger will not affect your phone rates at this time. The new company will review opportunities to reduce rates and offer new services and you will be notified of any changes.
To which company should I write my check and send my bill?
Continue to pay your bill to the company named on your bill.
Can I still pay my bill at my local payment center?
Yes, your payment methods have not changed.
I currently view and/or pay my bill online, do I need to provide information or make changes to my customer profile?
No. You are not required to take any actions. You can continue to access billing information as you do today.
If I have an account with Bell Atlantic and another with GTE, can I pay both on one bill?
Your payment methods haven't changed. You should continue to pay your Bell Atlantic and GTE accounts separately, just as they are billed.
If I'm moving from former Bell Atlantic territory to former GTE territory, can I set up new phone service and discontinue current service with one phone call?
No. The two companies have not yet merged systems. You should continue to pay your bills and process orders through the company with which you have service or desire service.
I live half the year in the Northeast and the other half in the South. Do I get a discount if I have both a Bell Atlantic account and GTE account?
Currently, these types of discount are not available. You will be notified of upcoming discounts and offers, as they become available.
Can I pay my GTE bill from Florida at the Bell Atlantic payment center in New York?
No, you must pay your bill from the GTE company at former GTE payment centers, and bills from the former Bell Atlantic company former Bell Atlantic payments centers.
