In the spirit of the holidays, Verizon donated about 50 winter coats and gloves to boys and girls in Prince George’s County, Md. who might otherwise go without. This was in support of the Prince George's County Office of Community Relations' 3rd Annual New Coat Drive held this month at the Wayne K. Curry Sports & Learning Complex in Landover.

On hand to help bring joy and warmth to Maryland youth were Maryland Delegate Dereck E. Davis, Verizon’s Tony Lewis, Tabb Bishop and Joe Askew and members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
