Remember when we shared with you that rising teen music artist and Ypsilanti, MI resident Dymond Harding was part of the PAVE the Way Project that Verizon is supporting? Dymond and six other teen artists from across the country contributed original tracks to raise awareness of dating violence. The public got to vote on their favorite track, and the artist who garnered the most votes will perform in a recording of a new song written by GRAMMY® Award winner Salvador Santana, collaborating alongside his father, 10-time GRAMMY® Award winner, Carlos Santana.

Well...Dymond received the most votes! We are so proud of her and all the artists for being an inspiration to their fans and peers and for standing up against dating violence. We revealed to Dymond and her family that she was the top vote getter live this morning on WXYZ Channel 7. See her reaction below.
