Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile Moves Communications Store And Adds Another Sales Outlet In Alexandria, Va.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile has just moved its

Alexandria Communications Store from Duke Street to Landmark Plaza on

Little River Turnpike. In addition, the company also announced it

will open a kiosk sales facility nearby in Alexandria's Landmark Mall.

The new 9,835 square-foot Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile Communications

Store at the Plaza at Landmark Shopping Center is a full-service sales

showroom, plus service and installation location that employs 25

people. Shoppers can find a complete selection of cellular phones,

pagers, wireless data equipment, and accessories. On hand is a

specially-trained staff who can help determine which cellular, paging

or data equipment and services will fit customers' communications

needs.

The new Alexandria Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile Communications Store is

located at 6198-M Little River Turnpike, near Total Beverage and Crown

Books. The store was moved to this location to be more convenient to

customers. The new facility has a much larger showroom and provides

10am to 8pm, Mondays through Fridays, 10am to 5pm Saturdays, and noon

to 4pm Sundays.

The Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile kiosk in Landmark Mall will serve as a

satellite sales facility to the full-service Communications Store. It

will be located between Hecht's and JC Penny on the lower level. Its

hours of operation are 10am to 10pm Mondays through Saturdays, and

"With two locations in Alexandria, we'll be more convenient to our

business and association customers, as well as general consumers,"

said Gary Schulman, president of Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile in the

Washington/Baltimore region. "Because of the mobility of Alexandria's

residents and commuters, and the dense population of the area,

there's great demand for cellular services here."

The store manager is Alice Marchand, a nine-year veteran with Bell

Atlantic NYNEX Mobile. She will also oversee operations at the kiosk

in Landmark Mall.
