New Jersey Company Receives High Marks for Customer Satisfaction

NEW YORK Premium Electric, Inc., of Clifton, N.J., has won the Bell Atlantic Supplier Excellence Award for outstanding customer service.
Premium Electric, an electrical contracting company specializing in commercial and industrial electrical construction, is among five winners selected from 6,500 Bell Atlantic suppliers. The company has provided electrical contracting services to Bell Atlantic throughout New Jersey for the past 32 years.
Charles Rosencranz, president, Premium Electric, Inc., accepted the award yesterday (6/12) at Bell Atlantic's East Orange, N.J., location. Bell Atlantic Director Real Estate Joseph Olivacz presented the award.
"Our suppliers play a vital role in Bell Atlantic's mission to care for our customers, anticipate their needs and provide them with outstanding service," said Olivacz. "Last September, Premium truly demonstrated their value to us as they helped us quickly restore service in parts of northern New Jersey following Hurricane Floyd. The Supplier Excellence Awards program enables us to recognize and thank such companies for their dedication to excellence."
Premium Electric began working within a few hours after Hurricane Floyd hit. The company's electricians worked around the clock for three days to help restore emergency power/light, temporary chillers and DC power to Bell Atlantic's telephone equipment in several locations. Bell Atlantic continues to work with Premium to upgrade or replace any equipment damaged as a result of the disaster.
In addition, Premium demonstrates its support of Bell Atlantic's diversified suppliers' goal by aggressively identifying and using minority and women-owned subcontractors.
"I am thankful to all the hard working and dedicated employees who helped Premium earn this recognition," said Rosencranz. "As a company that specializes in serving the telecommunications industry, throughout central and northern New Jersey, we are happy for the opportunity to serve this fine community."
The suppliers were judged on key performance attributes-including quality, responsiveness, delivery and customer satisfaction-for the products and services they provided to Bell Atlantic.
The annual Supplier Excellence Awards program enables Bell Atlantic to thank the winners publicly for their hard work and dedication to excellence, which help Bell Atlantic maintain its position as a market leader. In addition, the award encourages other suppliers to raise their level of performance.
