BELL ATLANTIC TO PROVIDE MICROSYSTEMS' CYBER PATROL
INTERNET FILTERING SOFTWARE

Tool Allows Parents, Teachers to Guide Children's Internet
Experience

RESTON, VA and FRAMINGHAM, MA -- Bell Atlantic and
Microsystems
Software, Inc. today announced an agreement under which Bell Atlantic
will offer Cyber Patrol* parental control software to customers
subscribing to its new
Bell Atlantic.net service
.

Cyber Patrol is the world's leading Internet filtering and access
management software. It allows parents and teachers to manage
childrens' Internet access, limit the time spent on-line and block
access to Internet sites that they deem inappropriate.

Cyber Patrol also can be used to control access to local applications
such as games and personal financial managers. Up to 10 user accounts
can be established with each Cyber Patrol software package to provide
each child in a household with his or her own access privileges, or in
a school computer lab environment to provide each grade level with the
appropriate setting.

"Parents and teachers we've spoken with are very excited about
having
access to the vast resources of the Internet at home and in the
classroom, but they want to guide children's experiences on the
'net',""
said Fred Cooke, external affairs director for Bell Atlantic Internet
Solutions.

"Bell Atlantic.net's policy is to put control in the hands of
our
customers because they are in the best position to decide what content
they do or do not want in their homes or businesses," Cooke said.
"One
person's passion is another person's poison. Cyber Patrol gives
customers the tools to exercise control over access to content, rather
than be subject to someone else's presumptive judgment about what is
good or bad for them."

"By partnering with Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions, we can provide
effective controls for Internet content selection that allow parents
and teachers to actively shape their children's online experiences,"
said Nigel Spicer, president and chief operating officer of
Microsystems Software. "We developed Cyber Patrol with the belief
that
responsibility for content lies with the individual user."

Customers of Bell Atlantic.net service can obtain a demonstration
version of Cyber Patrol by clicking the Cyber Patrol icon in the Bell
Atlantic.net
service. At the conclusion of a trial period, they will
be able to license Cyber Patrol for just $9.95 for one year. That
price includes a one-year subscription to weekly updates of CyberNOT*,
which contains addresses of more than 9,000 sites containing material
that parents may find questionable. This represents a significant
discount off the retail price of $29.95 for the software.

Bell Atlantic.net makes using the Internet as easy as making a phone
call. Its simple-to-use navigation and information directories link
customers to useful local as well as global resources, places and
information on the Internet. Bell Atlantic.net also features the
Netscape Navigator** browser and later this year will add the
Microsoft*** Internet Explorer browser, to provide increased customer
choice. The service includes superior customer service and technical
support available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the
reliability one expects from Bell Atlantic.

Bell Atlantic.net offers competitive usage-based pricing plans, as
well as an unlimited usage access plan for $17.95 per month, plus an
estimated $2 monthly Global Service Provider fee. For more
information, customers may call 1-800-NET-2026 or visit Bell
