Falls Church, Va. -- What is your favorite South Hampton Roads
landmark? Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages, The Virginian Pilot and 2WD-FM
are sponsoring a photo contest to highlight the "Points of
Pride" of South Hampton Roads.
Some suggestions are your favorite park, a visit to the Chesapeake Bay or
a sightseeing trip to local historic sites.
Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages is currently distributing the 1999-2000 Yellow
Pages directories for the South Hampton Roads community that features a
"Points of Pride" cover design in the shape of Virginia. The
icons symbolize general points of interest, as well as the specific
"Points of Pride" for a particular geographic region within
Virginia.
The "Points of Pride" photo contest will be judged by actor
and Bell Atlantic Spokesperson, James Earl Jones, and The Virginian
Pilot's photo editor and publisher. The grand prize winner of the photo
contest will win an iMac Apple computer, the second place winner will
receive $500 and the third place winner will receive $250. Photo contest
entries must be received no later than October 6, 1999. The rules of the
