IRVING, Texas -- Consumers in Kentucky now can choose one-stop shopping for a variety of telecommunications services from GTE Communications Corporation (GTECC), the nation's largest residential CLEC (competitive local exchange carrier).
The new offering, marketed under the name GTE Unlimited, enables consumers to buy a fully-integrated bundle of residential services - including local and long-distance calling, call management services, Internet access, wireless services and paging.
GTECC is launching the telecommunications bundle just as the country observes the fourth anniversary of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. GTECC President C. F. "Butch" Bercher, said, "This is what the Telecommunications Act of 1996 is all about. Our customers have told us they want value, simplicity, and the convenience of one-stop shopping. That's exactly what we will be providing in Kentucky with the GTE Unlimited bundle."
Plan Highlights
The basic GTE Unlimited offer includes the following:
- 100 minutes or more of in-state and/or out-of-state long distance;
- Local phone service;
- Choice of two call management services, such as call waiting and caller ID;
- Live 24-hour customer care advisors, available seven days a week;
- One point of contact for all bundle products;
- Wireless, paging and Internet service to add to the bundle at a discounted rate;
- One bill for all telecom services.
The service has no activation or connection fees. Interested consumers can get more information by calling 1-800-336-3043 or order on-line at www.gte.com/unlimited.
