GREENVILLE, SC -- Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile announced today
the launch of DigitalChoice service in Columbia, SC. Customers
in Columbia can now join those in Greenville and Charlotte who
are already benefitting from the only digital wireless system in
the Carolinas to offer improved call clarity, greater battery
life, and the convenience of service wherever you may travel in
North America.

on the East Coast, Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile leads the wireless
industry in deploying 13-kilobit Divisional Multiple Access
(CDMA) digital service. This "next generation" wireless
service provides the clearest voice quality of any wireless
technology, virtually eliminating static and crosstalk.
DigitalChoice gives customers the ability to make and receive
calls, answer pages, receive voicemail, and, with Caller ID, know
who's calling.
Customers who subscribe to this new digital service receive:

- Free Caller ID service;
- Free voicemail with message notification;
- Free TalkDial , Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile's exclusive
service which allows customers to "dial" with their voice; - Free 3-Way Calling, Call Waiting, No Answer Transfer;
- Free built-in fraud protection; and,
- Free activation.
The company is offering Qualcomm digital phones in its
Columbia, Charlotte, and Greenville area Communications Stores.
Customers can sign up for price plans beginning at $24.99 a month
and there is no activation fee.
