Popular Bell Atlantic Services
'ValuePack' Includes Caller ID and Call Waiting;

NEW YORK -- Savvy New York consumers searching for a novel way to
surprise Dad on Father's Day can choose Bell Atlantic's ValuePack
Service, which provides up to a 60-percent monthly discount on popular
products such as Caller ID, Call Waiting and VoiceDialing®.
For a monthly charge of just $17.99, consumers can buy a package
containing many of Bell Atlantic's most popular products, including:
Caller ID, Call Waiting, VoiceDialing®, 3-Way Calling, subscriptions to
Call Return (*69) and Repeat Dialing, CallAbilitysm, Call Forwarding,
RingMate®, and Speed Dialing. A list of additional products that can be
included in the package for the same price is available by calling Bell
Atlantic.
If a consumer chooses all the ValuePack Services, they will save up to 60
percent over what the monthly charge for the products would be if
purchased separately. Also, New York consumers who purchase
ValuePack will not have to pay the normal $16.00, one-time connection
fee.
"The products we're offering in this package will help consumers better
manage all their phone calls" said Dianne Schanne, Bell Atlantic director
for consumer product management. "And by packaging these products
together we're making it easier for consumers to buy them and use them
together."
Consumers who buy Caller ID with ValuePack by Aug. 15 can receive a
Call Waiting ID box at no charge. This box, valued at $79.99, works with
both Caller ID and Call Waiting, so that consumers can see who is calling
even when they're on the phone. Caller ID and Call Waiting ID service
require additional equipment which consumers can purchase on their own
or obtain as part of the limited ValuePack offering.
Current subscribers to Caller ID are not eligible for the ValuePack offering.
Also, customers who choose ValuePack must be a Bell Atlantic local and
regional toll customer.
New York consumers interested in purchasing ValuePack or obtaining
more information can call 1-888 858-0638, Monday through Friday from 8
a.m. until 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
