NYNEX to co-sponsor largest expo in country for telephone calling cards

NEW YORK, NY -- NYNEX and the Radio City Rockettes will give a kick to TeleCard World '95, the country's largest telephone calling card expo, expected to attract up to 100,000 collectors, enthusiasts and potential card issuers to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, Sept. 28-30. NYNEX (Booth No. 400) is one of the main sponsors of the event, and the Rockettes will be on hand to help the company promote its new set of NYNEX Change Cards(r), which feature the Radio City Music Hall marquee.

Media opportunities include:

o Custom-made phone cards. Attendees can be photographed with a Rockette, and NYNEX will create on the spot a customized, autographed NYNEX Change Card from the photo.

o The introduction of new NYNEX Prepaid Calling Service cards. Unlike NYNEX Change Cards, which are designed to be used at 500 special yellow pay phones in New York City, NYNEX Prepaid Calling Service cards can be used from any phone in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester, Putnam and Rockland counties.

o A student art contest. Students from top New York City art schools have been working since the summer to vie for a $5,000 first prize to design a NYNEX Change Card based on the theme "World Peace '96." Conference participants will vote on the winner from among more than 100 entries. NYNEX will issue a change card based on the winning design in December.
