NYNEX VoiceDialing(sm) Service Introduced In Upstate NY; Try It At No Charge For 30 Days

ALBANY -- Ordering a pizza for dinner is now easy as pie for NYNEX customers in
upstate New York, thanks to the introduction today of NYNEX VoiceDialing(SM)
Service.

VoiceDialing(SM) was first introduced upstate in the Syracuse area last year,
and beginning today is available on 1.2 million additional telephone lines
throughout upstate New York.

This advanced yet simple-to-use NYNEX service allows customers to speak the
name of the person they want to call. The call then will be automatically
dialed, quicker and more accurately than a call dialed by hand.

Customers can try VoiceDialing(SM) at no charge. Residents and businesses
ordering it will receive their first month's service free. Also, NYNEX is
waiving the standard service connection charges of $16 for residence customers
and $56 for businesses. A residence customer could save up to $21.50;
businesses could save $66. This waiver will end on Aug. 18, 1996.

With VoiceDialing(SM), customers can program their own personal directory of
telephone numbers by saying a name in any language and keying in the
corresponding telephone number. After that, all a caller needs to do is pick
up the telephone and say the person's name to make a call. NYNEX's network
recognizes the voice and automatically dials the preset number.

Customers need no special equipment. The service works equally well with
rotary-dial and push-button telephones.

With VoiceDialing(SM), customers can store either 30 or 50 names and associated
telephone numbers. The cost of the 30-number directory is $4.50 a month for
residence customers and $8 for businesses. The 50-number directory is $5.50 and
$10 per month, respectively.
