ANNOUNCES A NEW ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
THE NETWORK COMPANY IS
BORN

new structure
articulated in four operational divisions.

MILAN - Omnitel continues to grow rapidly. After
deploying its
technical and commercial infrastructures at record breaking speed,
Omnitel now announces an innovative and flexible structure with a
radicated presence throughout the Italian territory.
The company has established four regional divisions with their own
marketing, sales, customer care and network development managers that
will be reporting to Silvio Scaglia, General Manager, Omnitel Pronto
Italia. The four regions (North-East, North-West, Central, Southern)
will enable Omnitel to be closer to its customers and address their
specific needs more readily.
"Closer contact with the customers and the ability to act quickly
and
flexibly to constantly improve our service, were the guidelines behind
the creation of this new structure," stated Francesco Caio, Managing
Director, Omnitel Pronto Italia. "It is important that network
deployment follow the needs of the market and that customer care be
able to solve problems in a timely fashion."
The consistency of Omnitel's style, products and quality will be
assured by a strong centralized structure that will control marketing
activities, service definition and network know-how.
The new structure represents another important step in the history of
Omnitel, which has reached a record 100,000 subscribers during the
month of March and will be covering 50% of the Italian territory by
May, 1996.
